Hi! I'm Andrés Gomez, an E-learning Specialist with a passion for education and technology. My journey in the world of e-learning has taken me across various countries and universities, shaping my expertise and broadening my horizons.

I started my academic career at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in communication sciences. My love for learning and new experiences led me to participate in exchange programs at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. These opportunities allowed me to immerse myself in different cultures and educational systems.

Driven by a keen interest in educational systems and technologies, I pursued a Master's degree in Analysis and Intervention in Educational Systems at the University of Geneva (UNIGE). One of the highlights of my academic journey was being selected for an exchange program at the University of California, Berkeley. During my time at Berkeley, I took courses in Computer Science, Data Science, and Entrepreneurship, which greatly enhanced my skills and knowledge.

Professionally, I've had the privilege of working with some incredible institutions. At the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), I specialized in e-learning and collaborated with EDX to improve online learning experiences. One of my proudest achievements was the creation of an online lab initiative that attracted applications from over 100 universities across Africa. This project showcased my ability to think strategically and manage complex projects effectively.

My professional journey has also taken me to various countries, including Switzerland, Colombia, Germany, Finland, the USA, and Brazil. Living and working in these diverse environments has given me a deep appreciation for multiculturalism and the ability to tailor educational content to different cultural contexts.

All these experiences culminated in the creation of a comprehensive course on OpenEDX. This course is a blend of my knowledge in instructional design, content creation, and technology integration, aimed at providing learners with a dynamic and engaging educational experience.

In a nutshell, my journey in e-learning has been exciting and fulfilling. I continue to be driven by a passion for improving education through innovative e-learning solutions, and I'm always looking forward to the next adventure in this ever-evolving field.
