In my childhood, music would melt my heart, but I never pursued it with a passion. All that changed when I attended Hare Krishna kirtans in temples in the midwest. It was a transformational experience and I could feel the spiritual vibrations take over me whenever I would engage in kirtan. I really wanted to be that person driving that spiritually transforming experience and was able to pick up playing harmonium in a couple months, mostly by copying key movements and mimicking the sound! I had zero music theory experience then. Like me, I think there are many other souls out there who have a good sense of music or interest in it, but don't have the time to go through the dry theory of musical education. What I have discovered is that if you just focus on remembering the right key patterns and the sound vibrations, you can be a good kirtaneer very very quickly. This is exactly what I did, and I want you to benefit by it too. Believe in yourself, and you can be who you want to be.
