Erna van Dyk is a fine artist from Pretoria, South Africa who believes in exploring art fearlessly. As a painter, she is driven by a desire to experiment with new styles, materials, and concepts.

In 2011, Erna moved to Southern California with her husband and son and traded in her Afrikaans for English. Looking for a way to connect with her community and inspire others, she quickly harnessed her creative energy as an artist and graphic designer in her new surroundings. Offering all kinds of art classes and workshops for kids and adults throughout Orange County. Ever the optimist, Erna's work and teaching style is whimsical and full of life and laughter. She knows that art has the power to heal, soothe and transform the spirit. She sees it in the smiles and pride of her students, and she saw it in herself as she used art to adjust after moving halfway across the world.
