Starting out as a volunteer for an animal protection charity while I was working in South Korea, I began, like most Volunteer Managers, with very little knowledge or experience. I built my knowledge and experience over more than a decade, carried out my own research and successfully gained a Certificate in Volunteer Administration to improve my knowledge and better understand the best practises for Volunteer Management.

I have worked with multiple organisations in sectors including: animal welfare, environmental activism, health and social activism; to improve their volunteer programs, increase the number of their volunteers and deliver volunteer programs that better serve the organisation's mission and service users.

I am passionate about volunteer retention. Anyone can build a volunteer program, but how long do your volunteers stay? The trick to any successful program is retaining experienced, passionate and motivated volunteers over time. In my courses I will teach you everything I've learned about building a volunteer program and taking care of your volunteers so that they keep coming back, year after year.
