I am an instructor and researcher affiliated with a research lab at California State University, Long Beach, where my work focuses on machine learning applications in neuroscience — specifically, predicting brain activity across visual cortical areas V1 through V4 from MRI data using multilayer perceptron (MLP) models. I am currently preparing this research for publication. My interest in machine learning spans both its theoretical foundations and its practical applications, and I bring that research perspective into the classroom. In this course, I aim to give students a solid grounding in machine learning concepts and hands-on experience applying them, drawing on my own experience building and evaluating ML models in an active research setting.
