About me
Duncan is a climate risk trainer and advisor with deep experience in risk management and control in the banking sector. He has recently specialised in climate risk management training and advising clients on TCFD and ESG data reporting, climate scenario analysis and climate risk management. He has built a training course for the Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA) on climate scenario analysis. He has also made commercial training films on risk management and climate change and trained numerous people on climate change from 'A' level/BAC students in Bordeaux, France through to Board members in banks across Europe. He also holds a certificate of Sustainability and Climate Risk from the Global Association of Risk Professionals which he gained in 2011. He has thirty eight years of work experience with half in banking and half in training and management consultancy. His banking experience is with three different firms: BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and HSBC, leading global non-financial risk teams across all major trading hubs, working mainly within the risk management departments as line manager and programme director on large scale transformation projects. His risk management consulting experience was gained with the following firms: Deloitte, Ernst and Young, where he was a partner in charge of Financial Risk services and IBM Consulting. He qualified as a chartered accountant in the UK with Touche Ross and qualified as a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. He has a Law degree from the University of Hull.
