Doron Benbenisty is the founder of CRI – Counter Terrorism Training School, Inc., a vocational training organization specializing in counter-terrorism, personal security, executive protection, self-defense, active shooter preparedness, and related security disciplines.

Doron began his professional security career during his service in the Israel Defense Forces and later served in Israeli Special Operations, including the Mistaravim Unit, where he was involved in specialized counter-terrorism operations and training. During this period, he also served as a counter-terrorism instructor and was tasked with developing and implementing specialized training programs addressing suicide-bomber threats.

After relocating to the United States in 2000, Doron established CRI and continued developing professional training programs for security personnel, law-enforcement professionals, private organizations, and civilians. His areas of expertise include counter-terrorism, transportation security, aviation and ground security, executive protection, personal security, self-defense, workplace violence preparedness, and active shooter response.

Throughout his career, Doron has provided training and presentations to a wide range of professional organizations and audiences. His speaking engagements have included organizations and events such as the National Pawnbrokers Association, College of Southern Nevada, SWAT Round-Up, ASIS, chambers of commerce, international security organizations, and other professional groups.

Doron has also appeared as a security and counter-terrorism subject-matter expert in numerous media outlets, including NPR, CBS, FOX, ABC, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the New Orleans Times-Picayune, and international media. He also participated in multiple television segments for G4TV focusing on personal protection, counter-terrorism, and weapons safety.

In addition to his training and instructional work, Doron created the Krav Haganah combat-defense system and has authored books and educational materials on personal safety, home invasion defense, bullying prevention, and security preparedness. He also developed online training programs designed to make professional safety and security education accessible to a broader audience.

With decades of experience in security training, curriculum development, public speaking, and professional instruction, Doron’s teaching philosophy focuses on practical preparedness, situational awareness, informed decision-making, and giving students skills they can apply in real-world situations.
