I’m Didi, mama to Mika, former CFO, founder of an educational business, a Montessori teacher, neurolinguistic programmer, a psychologist and self-taught BLW expert.
I like to be informed. When my son was approaching four months, I embraced my inner nerd and read EVERYTHING I could about the different feeding techniques and philosophies and crossed referenced all of my findings with my hunky doctor husband. Our conclusion was that BLW (which I stumbled upon during a Google search) was absolutely the way to go, and so off we went on our messy, merry way.
Was I nervous? Of course. I wanted to do what was best but was worried Mika wouldn’t be able to handle the solid foods, that he’d choke, or that maybe purees really were the right way to go. The pressure to get it right as a parent can be so intense! I ultimately decided to listen to my gut and try BLW anyway and I’m so glad I did.
Our BLW journey was amazing, but I found it frustrating that there was no resource where I could reference all of the BLW information or SEE how other parents were doing it. Sure, you can read a book about the technique itself, but what about SEEING it in practice? How could I be certain that my child wouldn’t choke? What about the right shapes of the food we offer? And nutrition? We can practice BLW in an unhealthy well - chunky chips is still a finger food.
So, I decided to make my own.
Baby Meet Food is the resource I wish I had when I started my BLW journey.
I wish you a beautiful journey with BLW
xx Didi
