I have taught Spanish language and culture, from the novice levels to highly advanced and heritage speakers for 20 years in the public school arena (middle and high school). I also have taught my own children to be bilingual (English and Spanish) and to have a love for learning languages and culture.
I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish, a Bachelor's of Science in botany, a Master's in Teaching, and am Nationally Board Certified in World Languages, 2011-2031.
I love to share my passion for this beautiful language with young people, to learn and grow about language acquisition, always with the focus of improving my craft and learning with my students.
I have loved Spanish since I first heard it at 5 years old and have spent my life immersed in this amazing culture and language. I value hard work more than perfect pronunciation as that will help my students more in life and I know from first hand experience that everyone can learn.
My classes focus on specific niches of Spanish grammar that challenge us Second language learners, always with the goal, to propel each one of my students into the Advanced knowledge level of Spanish language.
