I'm David Cruz Anaya, also known as davthecoder, a London-based Senior Software Engineer and mobile specialist originally from Spain. With over a decade of experience building applications used by millions, I bring practical knowledge of Android, Kotlin Multiplatform, iOS and Flutter to my teaching.

My career combines hands-on development, mobile architecture and engineering leadership. In previous roles at Sky and Deltatre, I worked on products including Sky Go, WWE and BritBox, contributed to Android modernisation, and helped teams adopt Kotlin Multiplatform and Jetpack Compose. I've also managed engineering teams and mentored developers throughout their careers.

My current technical focus includes modern Android development, shared mobile code and applied AI. Through independent products, I explore native integrations and practical AI assistants, bringing fresh perspectives to the engineering challenges I teach.

As a Udemy instructor, I've taught more than 20,000 students. My teaching centres on practical examples, clear explanations and the reasoning behind technical decisions.
