David Inman FRICS CEnv is a Chartered Environmental Surveyor, sustainability specialist, and RICS APC Assessor Chair with over 20 years’ experience in environmental, energy, and quality management.
Through his work with DIEM Ltd, David has supported FTSE- and NYSE-listed companies, universities, contractors, and public sector organizations in implementing and improving ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and wider sustainability and environmental management practices. His experience spans projects across the UK, Europe, USA, Brazil, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and Australia.
David has worked across sectors including real estate, construction, defence, healthcare, rail, and water, giving him a broad and practical understanding of environmental and energy challenges in real-world settings.
In addition to his consultancy work, David is an active RICS APC Assessor Chair and auditor, bringing valuable insight into professional standards, career development, and industry expectations. Before founding DIEM Ltd in 2005, he held senior roles with Carillion, AMEC, and the Stobart Group.
David is also an experienced educator, holding a Level 4 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector and serving as an external examiner at the University of Lancashire.
His courses are designed to make complex topics clear, practical, and directly applicable, helping learners build confidence, strengthen professional capability, and apply sustainability and environmental management principles effectively in practice.
