David Blackmore

David Blackmore is a seasoned educator, technologist, and entrepreneur in both the non-profit and private sectors.  He is able to take complex subjects and present them to students with a simple easy to follow walkthrough approach while being thorough and entertaining at the same time. Early in 2018 he created and successfully issued an ERC 20 standard utility Token, and Crowd-sale smart contracts issued on Ethereum and ran an ICO.

Born in Toronto, Canada in 1957, where he grew up in the urban centre, the youngest in a family of five his parents migrated from the province of Newfoundland famous for its friendly inhabitants. He attended what is now named Nelson Mandela Public School.

He graduated from Monarch Park High School and studied in the Bachelor of Music and Fine Arts program at York University in Toronto and received a scholarship to study Arts Administration at the Banff School of Management in Alberta Canada.

Executive Director (2009-12) of a $5million research project funded by the Canadian government to develop new models for delivery of education and employment involving over 1,000 participants.  This was the largest study of its kind and is still in use today by many organizations. HRH Prince Charles visited the project for a demonstration and congratulated David and his project team, which became a highlight of the 2012 Royal visit.

Being at the forefront of new technology and delivery systems was a life-changing period and David has not looked back in his pursuit to work in technology for the betterment of the world.

Founder and CEO of Stellar Music Online Media Inc. which developed Tootyr a web-app for locating Tutors in your community.  Founder and President of NewArts  Inc. a nonprofit organization which is expanding the horizons of children and youth through technology, education, and arts.

Director (95-04) of Cosmo School of Music one of Canada’s largest private music schools with over 2,000 students.

A recipient of the Fellowship of Man Humanitarian Award for using entrepreneurial approaches in the non-profit sector and founding a children’s arts centre in Toronto's inner city.

He lives in Toronto with his wife and works in collaborative space at the Centre for Social Innovation where he is an active member.
