Dr Damon Ashworth completed his Bachelor of Behavioural Science and Bachelor of Psychological Science in Honours at La Trobe University. He then completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Monash University.
For his Doctoral thesis, Damon conducted research that was the first in the world to show that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) can significantly improve both sleep and mood in individuals with depression and insomnia who had previously been unable to eradicate these conditions with antidepressant treatment.
He also showed that only four sessions of CBT-I over an eight week period is enough to produce these significant improvements in mood and sleep.
Damon has worked as a Clinical Psychologist since September 2013 and has helped to treat hundreds of people with sleeping problems during this time.
Damon looks forward to sharing everything that he has learnt about sleep and psychology with you so that you too can improve your sleep.
