Dai'Quiriya Martinez is an L.A. native with family ties to Louisiana, Oklahoma, and east Texas. She is a teacher and lifelong learner, who enjoys history, culture, poetry, reading, DIY crafts, and being in nature. As a student and instructor of Afrofuturism she is always trying expand the working definition of the genre.
