Catherine Wong graduated in Economics and Management from the University of London. She spent 10 years in a corporate career in Singapore before finding her calling as a professional nail artist and educator which she spent the next 18 years cultivating her skills and credentials and applying her corporate experience to build her own business in importing, distribution and professional nail training program.
Between 2011-2014, Catherine published seven nail books and three designer nail instruction books sold internationally. In 2013 and 2014 she co-hosted the largest independent nail competition in Malaysia and judged in numerous international nail competitions around the world.
Catherine was the first nail competitor from South East Asia to be invited to represent Singapore in the World Championship twice in Dusseldorf, Germany in 2010 and 2011 which she ranked top 10 finalists amongst champions from all over the world
She is a regular contributor to the industry’s trade publications such as Scratch Magazine (UK) and cover artist for Nailpro (USA) and Nails Magazine (USA). Her active participation and dedication to the nail industry has propelled many of her students to follow her footsteps into becoming top competitors and world class educators whom are successful today.
These days, besides embarking on other new ventures, Catherine still judges international nail competitions whenever her schedule allows it and she is developing educational materials and reaching out to nail enthusiast through online classes so that everyone can access her knowledge and skills anytime and anywhere.
