Caroline Haugsted is a dancer, dance teacher, artist, organizer and community builder. She has been teaching Zouk since 2013 and has a Bachelor’s degree in teaching dance from the University of Amsterdam (AHK).
Her vision is to create an inclusive, welcoming space where everyone can join and enjoy the benefits of dance and movement. Through her extensive knowledge and training in other styles as ballet, jazz, contemporary, West African, heels, urban, contact improvisation, bachata, gymnastics, barre, yoga and pilates, she helps her students better understand their bodies and improve their posture and alignment to dance and move safely and comfortably.
She focuses on solid dance technique, as well as social dance skills and etiquettes, connection, expression and creativity.
She is also passionate about training teachers to teach dance and helping community leaders build their scenes, and teaches at and organizes Brazilian Zouk intensives and festivals around the world.
