I have a solid and varied background in Education, backed by a Master of Arts in Education. I was a primary school teacher for many years, and I also have taught ESL to adult English Language Learners.

My experience volunteering with the Peace Corps helped me hone my teaching (and learning!) skills across cultural challenges. Living in another country for two years made me empathetic to language learners, and I remember making many mistakes and feeling embarrassed. I have a special place in my heart for people trying to learn English because I know how challenging it is to learn a second or third language!

I love teaching, and I love being silly while teaching. The course on American Idioms shows my silly side, and I believe that it helps to be able to laugh while learning.

I am grateful to Udemy because this is an amazing opportunity for me to share my love of teaching with students all over the world. I hope to create more courses in the future and learn from any feedback and comments that students are able to offer to me.
