Çağdaş is a dedicated professional with over four years of experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Ege University, Turkey, where his dissertation was recognized with the “Best Doctoral Dissertation Award” by the International Relations Department in Turkey.
He has significant international experience, having volunteered in Romania for a long-term European Union project focused on anti-discrimination and the promotion of European values. As part of a diverse team of nine individuals from across Europe, he worked with teenagers in rural communities, fostering inclusivity and civic awareness.
In Turkey, Çağdaş worked at the European Union Center at Yaşar University, where he developed and submitted KA1, KA2, and KA3 projects to the National Agency. He also completed the Jean Monnet Summer School on the Migration-Security Nexus in the EU.
Further international exposure includes his internship at a nonprofit organization in Lebanon, where he contributed to communication strategies, marketing, and project development addressing the needs of Syrian refugees. Additionally, he took part in various academic programs such as the International Students Week in Ilmenau (Germany) and the Erasmus Summer School on Good Governance in Bialystok (Poland).
Çağdaş also gained valuable policy experience at the Ankara Center for Crisis and Policy Studies, where he focused on the Western Balkans. He participated in a sustainability and climate change project in Čačak, Serbia, enhancing his expertise in regional issues and sustainable development.
Through these diverse experiences, he has built strong skills in project coordination, intercultural communication, and strategic planning. His core interests include human rights, democracy, civil society, sustainable living, and environmental issues.
