About me
Brick Welch is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with 10+ years of experience teaching at Redzovic BJJ in the heart of downtown Chicago. In this time he has had the opportunity to coach multiple IBJJF Pan American, European and World Champions; multiple UFC fighters like UFC Light Heavyweight Champ Rashad Evans; the US Army National Guard Combatives Instructors, as well as volunteer instructed self-defense workshops at Chicago Public High Schools and University of Illinois at Chicago.
As a competitor notable accomplishments include: Juvenile No-Gi World Champion (2007), Juvenile Pan American Champion (2009), Pan American Bronze Medalist (Purple Belt 2010), No Gi Pan American Bronze Medalist (Black Belt 2015), and Fight 2 Win Pro Fight-of-the-Year (2016).
Brick has a BS in Kinesiology from University of Illinois Chicago and MS in Finance from Illinois Institute of Technology. He holds certifications as a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sport Performance Coach (2013) and ACE Certified Personal Trainer (2013).
He currently works as a Quantitative Analyst at Bank of America by day and in his free time he can be found hanging with his fiancée Ranju and rescue pups Franklin and Arthur.
