During my teen years, I exercised a Barrel Racer named Ripple. I did not realize the connection I had with that horse at the time. It wasn’t until after my children grew up, I returned to horses. I returned to school and learned everything I could about Equines, with Certifications. With many hours of research I realized even though the “Old Fashioned Cowboy” way worked for them, there are other ways of training and caring to deepen a connection with a horse. To break a horse is to gain its trust, not break its spirit. After adopting my first horse, that is when I realized the connection I had with Ripple years ago. I lived that connection and want others to find that connection to have the best relationship they can with their own horse.
