I am a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati (USA). My research is in analysis and geometry — in setting of metric spaces. I have always loved designing and solving calculus questions at all levels. A rigorous background in calculus is foundational to success in advanced mathematics, specially in analysis, PDE, and geomtry. In teaching, I try to lead the students to see why a statement “should be true”, where the “surprise” is, and what prevents us from giving counter-examples. Such understading of a problem, we will most likely naturally lead us to the right solution. Presenting our solutions and proofs in mathematically acceptable way is just as important and I never neglect this crucial aspect of preparing students for exams and beyond — e.g. for when they are ready to publish new mathematics.
I advocate my exciting reseaech areas by creating videos on Youtube. They cover cutting-edge research tiopics as well as more classical results. My channel is Young Measures — named after mathematical objects of the same name, that are in turn named after mathematician Laurence Young.
