Bahram Adrangi is the W. E. Nelson Chair Professor of Financial Economics in the School of Business Administration (SOBA), The University of Portland, Portland, Oregon, USA. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Oregon in 1982. He has taught economics, statistics, econometrics, and forecasting for the past several decades.
Currently, his areas of research cover the interaction of financial, energy and equity markets. In the past, he was also engaged in research in transportation economics. His published research papers have appeared in The Financial Review, Journal of Futures markets, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Review of Futures Markets, Applied Financial Economics, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Energy Economics, among others. He is a reviewer for several academic journals, including Energy Journal, Energy Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, among others. His research papers have won “best paper” awards at Decision Science Conferences, Midwestern Economic Association Conference, and others. He is a member of American Economic Association, Western Economic Association, Applied Business and Entrepreneurship Association, to name a few.
