Ashley T. Parham, MSN, RN, CNE recieved her MSN from Augusta University (formerly known as Medical College of Georgia) with a focus on being a Clinical Nurse Leader. Engaged in systems thinking with an interest in pediatrics, she began her career as a pediatric registered nurse while working on hospital committees to improve patient care and improve communication systems. While working as a staff nurse, Ashley realized she enjoyed working with the intermittent flow of nursing students. That was the beginning of her career in education. She has taught in community college and university level nursing programs. She has developed curriculum for transition to practice nursing programs and now works as a Simulation Clinical Educator to assist in the development of physician, nursing, and allied health simulation faculty. Her key career interests are education quality, interprofessional education, patient safety, and the impact that healthcare cultures have on patient care.
