Born in India, The paintings of the fine artist Ashish Kumar Patel are a testament to his dogged determination to clarify, to capture a vision informed by both the measurable and the realistic.

Ashish started his journey as a student and then became full time instructor at Angel Academy of Art, Florence, Italy. He has taught students from all over the world for more than 10 years now.

As only a few gets selected as an Instructor, he started his journey with drawing in pencil, charcoal & Oil painting.

He has explored and explained the mysterious terrain between what can be measured by physical senses and what can be perceived only by emotions.

His artworks are his true personal confessions where the emphasis is put on the emotional context.

At the beginning of Ashish’s artistic journey, realism combined with abstraction was the direction which prevailed in his style.

Later he started to incline more toward classical, combined techniques and experimentation, still searching for his own unique way of expression.

It was also his first contact with pencil and charcoal drawing and oil painting based on figures and Still life.

He immediately saw a great potential in this form of painting and expression even despite the difficulty of this style.

The painting approach seemed very appealing in a sense of directness, truthfulness and expressiveness while at the same time being a real challenge as it required an uncompromising artist.

His paintings and drawings are collected worldwide as in private and public collection.
