About me
Anastasia Kostner, currently based in Amsterdam as a movement therapist, dancer and certified Rolfer, teaches pupils about movement and healthy posture all over Europe. Her distinct style allows her to talk about how how wellbeing should feel like and as a result she does not focus on 'rights' or 'wrongs' or the superficial aesthetics of posture. She therefore knows to induce long lasting and satisfying changes in her clients, real well-being. Her exercises she therefore calls: 'feel good exercises'.
For many years, she worked as a dancer, known to be versatile in different movement styles and dance forms. Next to her artistic endeavours, she was curious about the underlying patterns of movement, looking more and more at how to train a healthy body as a dancer. She found the fascia system of the body one of the key systems to induce lasting change and successful release of chronic injuries. Therefore she studied Rolfing (Structural Integration), where she started to give workshops around her findings and knowledge. Until now, she thought at HfMDK in Frankfurt, KNUA in Korea, several Musik Institutes in Italy, the British School of Amsterdam, and in several Yoga and Empirical Research centres (SCO) in the Netherlands and England.
Qualifications: Movement Essentials and Contemporary Dance at IDA in Linz (AT), Dance In Community study at Laban in London, Master of Arts in Contemporary Dance (Macode) in Frankfurt am Main. Certified Rolfer from the British Academy of Rolfing.
