DANCE- Amelia has been dancing for over 30 years and teaching for the last 25 years. She started with Jazz and Hip Hop then discovered partnered dancing Rock'n'Roll. She dedication and passion to perfect her skill allowed her to gain a Gold Medal through F.A.T.D. (Federal Australian Teachers of Dancing). She is a South Pacific Dance Champion in Rockabilly 1995, City of Sydney Champion as a Professional and Central Coast Dance Championships Professional 1995. She later become a qualified and accredited teacher and adjudicator through A.R.R.D.C. Australian Rock'n'Roll DanceSport Council. She then continued with further studies and training learning similar styles such as Lindyhop (Swing Dancing), Rockabilly and similar genres including Latin American styles. She has performed on TV, interviewed on radio, choreographed pre-performance show at the 'Buddy Holly Story' show Civic Theatre, Newcastle, performer and dance choreographer for Johnny the Musical (the history of Australian rocker Johnny O'Keefe). Performed at many festivals in Newcastle and the NSW mid north coast. She has been the sole organiser for many dance competitions in Sydney and Newcastle.
FITNESS- A late bloomer into the fitness industry Amelia completed a Zumba Instructor course and went further studying and became a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Professional. She continues her passion of fitness for any age, size or gender. Amelia specialises in Over 50's classes and has many students in this age group right up into their 70's and 80's. Bringing her dance background combined with fitness equipment and passion to keep people moving makes for a fantastic fitness class.
