For years I built and scaled multiple multimillion-dollar companies — buying, growing, and selling businesses through Business Acquisitions International. On the surface, it was working. But behind the scenes, scaling a company takes a huge amount of effort and a wide mix of specialist skills. Increasingly, the biggest leverage came from AI — and finding the right expertise was always the bottleneck.

The truth? I was burnt out. I was missing my kids grow up, skipping family and friends, even pushing off date night. I realised this wasn’t what I signed up for. So I exited everything.

My family and I packed up, bought a car we named OTOD (there’s a story there), and travelled Europe for six months. We dog-sat in stunning locations, sang karaoke at resorts on the Med, visited friends and family across countries — a full reset and adventure.

When we came back, I knew I needed to create something different. Something that helped other SME owners scale — without the stress, the staffing overheads, or the burnout I’d experienced.

That’s why I built AIStaffFinder. SMEs still think the old way: hire a full-time specialist. But in reality, no one person can keep up with how fast AI is moving. Every business needs a team — but most can’t afford one.

So now I coordinate that team. My clients get access to AI strategists and specialists when they need them, paying only a fraction of what a single hire would cost. If they want to move faster or take on bigger projects, I can scale the team around them.
