Alima Chichibabina – performing folk dancer and choreographer from Ukraine. Has been dancing since childhood and last 10 years specializing in Caucasian, Central Asian, and Crimean dancing cultures.
She has over 8 years of teaching and creative experience with groups and individual programs. As a stage performer, Alima is well known for her expressive acting skills and unique arms plasticity.
Graduated from the National Academy of Arts and Culture Management with a Master of Choreography (Diploma with Honor) and Kyiv Tarasa Shevchenko University with as Master of Human Physiology (Diploma with Honor).
For many years Alima has been researching folk dances in an integrative way together with History, Ethnography, and Mythology. That is why her solo dance performances became full of deep psychological content and immersion in epochs when folk dances were developed by humanity.
While performing and teaching her students she discovered the great impact which these dancing styles make on female consciousness and body feelings. Especially expressive folk authentic dances make a great influence on feminine energy and flexibility of mind. In other words, it could be said: working through the body with powerful female ancient Eurasian archetypes awakens a strong feeling of personal power and increases self-esteem through unique female patterns.
