I hold a Master’s degree in engineering and have more than eight years of experience in the field of functional safety and safety-critical software development.
I began my career at one of the world’s leading automotive technology suppliers, where I worked in safety-related software roles with responsibility for complete software packages within complex embedded systems. In this role, I was involved in projects ranging from mid to highest safety integrity levels, gaining hands-on experience in the development, verification, and safety assurance of software for conventional, hybrid, and electric vehicle platforms.
Over time, my work expanded beyond pure implementation to include system-level thinking, safety analysis support, process definition, and compliance with international safety standards. This allowed me to build strong expertise not only in ISO 26262, but also in the general principles of safety-critical development that apply across industries such as aerospace, rail, medical, and industrial systems.
In addition to project work, I was responsible for mentoring and training new engineers, helping them understand both the technical and process-related aspects of safety-critical development. Since 2021, I have been working as an independent consultant and online course provider, supporting engineers and organizations worldwide with training and guidance in functional safety, safety standards, and certification-oriented development processes, including DO-178C.
