Alejandro De Jesús studied at the San Juan Art Students League, the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, and the School of Plastic Arts. He graduated with honors from the University of Puerto Rico. He also studied at the Art Student's League of New York and Famous Artists Schools in Westport, Connecticut. In 1987 he received an award for his oil painting: The Hat Seller at La Liga de Arte de San Juan. This work and his oil painting entitled La Clase were acquired by the Caguas Museum of Art to become part of its permanent collection. In his commitment to artistic education, he taught drawing and painting to children and adults for 28 years in his studio in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He is the author of the course: Fundamentos de la Pintura al Oleo in 5 videos and of the book under the same title. Both works have been translated into English. His favorite medium is oil, but he also uses pastel, charcoal, and acrylic. Alejandro's work has been widely exhibited in group and solo shows throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Some of his paintings are in private and public collections. His paintings can be seen in the permanent salon of the Caguas Art Museum.

Alejandro De Jesús estudió en la Liga de Estudiantes de Arte de San Juan, el Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña y la Escuela de Artes Plásticas. Se graduó con honores de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. También estudió en Art Student's League de Nueva York y Famous Artists Schools en Westport, Connecticut. En 1987 recibió un premio por su pintura al óleo: El Vendedor de Sombreros en La Liga de Arte de San Juan. Esta obra y su pintura al óleo titulada La Clase fueron adquiridas por el Museo de Arte de Caguas para formar parte de su colección permanente. En su compromiso con la educación artística, enseñó dibujo y pintura a niños y adultos por 28 años en su estudio en Caguas, Puerto Rico. Es autor del curso: Fundamentos de la Pintura al Oleo en 5 videos y del libro bajo el mismo título. Este último fue traducido al inglés y publicado por Amazon y Barnes & Noble. Su medio favorito es el óleo, pero también utiliza el pastel, el carbón y el acrílico. El trabajo de Alejandro se ha exhibido ampliamente en exposiciones grupales e individuales en los Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico. Sus pinturas han sido adquiridas por el sector privado y público. Algunas de sus pinturas se pueden ver en la sala permanente del Museo de arte de Caguas.
