I went into the DAS (Indoor Cellular Network) business at a time when we had a difficult time explaining the term even to our bank (for loan!). DAS was relatively unknown and in its infancy. There was not a lot of companies out there dealing with this problem. Heck, there was not even good literature to get a good grasp of the subject.
That was 16 years ago when I co-founded On Air Solutions with Scott Wysocki. Since then this industry has grown quite a bit, and so did we. On Air Solutions (OAS) is an engineering firm and solutions integrator for DAS, BTS and Small Cell based out of Houston, Texas. Since starting in 2001, we have worked on more than 3500 DAS projects of various sizes including Super Bowls, HQ campuses of Fortune 500 companies, healthcare and college campuses, malls, offices, warehouses, airline facilities, manufacturing plants, etc.
I developed this crash course on DAS based on my experience in the industry for people who are not directly in DAS, but may have to get involved - architects, building construction team, IT, facilities management team, project managers - just to name a few. I invite you to learn about a whole new subject in short few hours.
Few more tidbits about me... I went to University of Texas at Austin for bachelor's and masters's degrees in Engineering. Avid reader - especially good books on applied cognitive science or social psychology. Keep in touch actively with 70+ friends from childhood (LAB84rs) without Facebook.
