When I came to Nashik, a small town in Maharashtra almost 40 years ago, I was tasked with leading a manufacturing company, which was just starting. I soon realized that managing a company was no child’s play but an often lonely desk where the buck stopped. Having not had a management education, I turned to books to try and understand the various concepts of Quality, Leadership, Profitability and such others which often cropped up in conversations but which I did not seem to understand deeply.
Thus started my journey to unravel the meanings of the various aspects of management. I followed a method of taking notes as I read and practicing what I understood.
Having retired from the company after a long career of almost 40 years, and after speaking to many of my ex colleagues, I realized that almost every management entrant, every business person, many, many students and writers on business struggled to find the exact meanings and applications of these concepts. A simple example of this being the usage of Sales and Marketing as synonyms for each other.
I have therefore tried to explain the concepts with simple explanations and examples to ensure that the viewer achieves clarity on the subject. I hope you will find these videos not only informative but entertaining and help you in building your understanding and your future.
