Dr. Abhijit Patil is an Assistant Professor at Shivaji University, Kolhapur, specializing in GIS, Remote Sensing, and landslide studies in the Western Ghats. With a Ph.D., he has published 22 research papers in reputed journals like Springer Nature and Elsevier. He has won the Mapathon Championship Award from IIT-B and ISRO twice and has worked on multiple consultancy projects. Passionate about geospatial technology, he explores Machine Learning for landslide detection and uses drones for 3D mapping. Dr. Patil is also an expert in ArcGIS, Python programming, and Google Earth Engine for spatial analysis.
