My name is Andrew Kreimer and I am a full-time commodities trader based in sunny Israel.

Before becoming a full-time day trader I worked as a Software Engineer and a Data Scientist for five years in various companies. I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science.

One day I realized that my good old passion for trading markets should be my day job. I saved 50$K, quit my high paying job and started trading stocks with Interactive Brokers. I made some money but then I wanted to earn more and fast (greed), so I started trading options. I made 12$K in three months and thought it's easy. Then I sold some strangles on a bio-pharmaceutical stock and lost 10$K in 5 minutes due to a successful experiment and a naked position (stupid). Then followed a margin call, forced liquidation and a total loss of 25$K of my initial account.

I realized I didn't have a clue, so I joined the largest local proprietary trading group as a Derivatives Trader at the Fixed Income desk. I have learned the business internals and most importantly learned what not to do. After a year I decided to leave and go on my own.

Nowadays I trade multiple commodities (mainly bonds and indexes) via Market Profile. I love to teach, share ideas and learn new things each and every day. I do Karate for the body and mind, play the guitar for the soul and travel the world when possible.
