This section introduces what a drone is, gives a definition for a quadcopter and show other types of multirotors.
|Section 2: Chapter 2 - Major parts of a quadcopter|
In this chapter, I will quickly browse through all the major parts of a quadcopter.
This is to give you a brief intro before I elaborate these parts in the next chapters.
|Quiz 1||3 questions|
Just a quick quick on what the the major parts are.
|Section 3: Frame of a quadcopter.|
This lecture shows you what a frame in a drone is and the different components of a frame and how it is used in a quadcopter.
|Quiz 2||2 questions|
Lets check what you know about a quadcopter frame
|Section 4: Power system of a quadcopter|
|In this chapter I will explain what is the power system of multicopter or a quadcopter. In other words, how does a quadcopter get its power, what is the principle source of power and how it gets to the motors and other onboard components.|
|Section 5: Flight power|
In this chapter I explain what or how does the quadcopter takes shape. What is the body of the quadcopter.
|Quiz 3||2 questions|
This quiz is to check your knowledge of flight dynamics of a quadcopter.
Flight power is primarily via the electric brushless motors. This chapter talks about motors and how and what about them.
Well, you can't just add power to the motor and expect it to do its thing. We need a speed controller, specifically an Electronic speed controller. I will go over all that now.

I am a software engineer currently working with a leading technology company, designing and developing mission critical applications.
As an extension to my professional life I have been building and flying drones for a few years now and I have made my share of mistakes and learned a lot too.
I graduated with an electrical engineering degree and extended with and advanced degree in software engineering .
Quad copters and the technology behind it is a very good confluence of technology between software and hardware.
Being a consummate technologist and border line nerd tendencies help me a lot with this hobby. I am glad I found my passion in this hobby, it is so fulfilling and challenging.
I can't wait to see where and how this technology advances for the betterment of humanity.
