Bio-Mechanical adjustment of bilateral knee joints, Three pieces of straight tape materials for each side. Apply one piece straight at the outside part of each knee joint, as the knee joint can be straight. The second and third pieces to be applied from outside pushing the patella medially as the knee joint slightly bend (about 35-degree flexion).

The aim of pushing the patella here is to mechanically adjust the patella movement in the central line groove. Over 50% tightness on the tape material, with consideration of holding the knee joint relaxed in a 35-degree flexion position.

The concept of the biomechanical adjustment is to modify the joints mechanically to the normal functional movement as possible. The taping role here is to support the joint functions & range of motion without restrictions over the normal movements.

The purpose of this technique is to reduce the patella friction movement over the tibiofibular joint. Usually that techniques can be use in osteo-arthritic changes, or patellofemoral joint pain.

The recipients should not feel so much tightness in the knee movements and should be able to move the knee with a complete comfort and ease.

In this case apply a deep fascia adjustment for the Para spinal muscles by vibration movement of the tape during the application.

Keep in mind the decision of the taping application to treat fascia depends on your previous assessment to the restricted or tightness of the fascia movement.

The concept of the Fascia Adjustment is to modify the soft tissue structure by applying a vibrating movement during the tape application.

The taping application should be opposite to the tightness tissues direction.  If you can see the difference between the client spine deformities before and after the tape application. It is obvious that the spinal curvature gets little straight and the Latissimus - Dorsi muscles at the left side gets more relaxed because the tape takes over the load and give the fascia structure the chance to heal.

The main idea here is to teach your client also that the best way of spinal adjustment and how the tap can be very helpful support.  Two Y cut have been applied, with less than 50% tightness on the tape.

Keep in mind while you apply the tape to vibrate your hands side to side or in and out to release the deep fascia structure while you lying the tape on the skin.

The concept of the synovial gap or interstitial space adjustment is to create a space underneath the skin to enhance and facilitate the healing process of the interstitial space structures. By creating a space underneath the skin the blood and the fluids flow gets a chance to move faster and smoother. And eventually that speed the healing process. This technique can be applied almost anywhere, but mostly in-between the joints junction.

Convulsion is the good sign of the synovial gap adjustment techniques. As it appears on the picture that the three tape pieces have been applied on the lower back region, intervertebral joints.

The purpose her is to reduce the inflammation in-between the intervertebral joint and reduce the pain. Subsequently, that will leads to an enhancement of the heling process.

The tape has been applied with less than 50% tightness and with flexion position of the spine to open the intervertebral joints. The tape here is working as a vacuum to hold the gap in-between the vertebrae and let more fluids to rush inside and speed the healing process.

The concept of the Ligaments or Tendons adjustment is to decrease the stress on the ligament or the tendon tissue to give them the opportunity to heal faster. The main function of the tape applications here is to support the injured ligaments or tendon and reduce the compression and the pressure effects and to take over that pressure instead.

The tape working here as a brace to limit the joints movement to allow the traumatized ligament or Tendon to heal appropriately in a faster and safe manner. This technique can be applied over any ligament or tendon. Furthermore, the main concept of the tendon adjustment is to stimulate the proprioceptive and the mechanoreceptors to decrease the stress on the tendon and ligament.

In addition to produce a signal through the skin to the brain for perception of normal tension on target tissues. Perception of support through stimulation of mechanoreceptors, primary to support the injured tissue at the joint.

No stretching required at the target tissues (Ligaments). Stimulate the GTO – Golgi Tendon Organ for joint protection with stretching the target tissue (Tendon). Here are some examples of the Ligament / Tendon adjustment Techniques for a several body regions.

Ligament adjustment to the lateral collateral ligament of the right knee joint. Two layers of X tape cutting technique. Apply the tape with more than 50% tightness over the tape material, start from the center and pull away, follow the arrows on the picture. Keep in mind the knee position is straight and relaxed. The purpose of this technique is to eliminate the right knee joint excessive movement and reduce the lateral collateral ligament injury.

The recipients should not feel so much tightness on the skin. Moreover, the knee movements and should be comfortable and easy.

The Tendo-Achilis adjustment technique is a good example for the tendon adjustment technique. That help to reduce the stress of the Tendo-Achilis tissue during the injury period. This application can be done by apply the tape with more than 50 % tightness over the tape material to give the tendon more support and durability for function.

The concept of the Functional adjustment is to maintain the joint functional movement during the trauma or injury period. Utilizing the flexibility of the tape structure to eliminate the joints over movement to reduce the painful range of motion and enhance the healing process. The recoil effects of the tape material assist or limit the injured joint or hypermobile joint from the excess movement to prevent the tissue overstretch and reinjured. By providing a sensory stimulation to assist and limit a motion. The application of the tape is applied through the movement of the injured joint. And that to increase the stimulation of the mechanoreceptors. Therefore, the tape works here as a bridge over the injured joints.

This right ankle joint is a great example of the functional adjustment technique. The technique starts by dorsiflex the ankle joint upwards, and apply the tape from that position. Starts from the foot side of the right ankle and pull the tape up towards the knee with more than 50% tightness

֍ The RETROCALCANEAL BURSITIS is an example of the circulatory adjustment technique to reduce the inflammation around the calcaneal bursae. The cut of the tape as it appears in the picture is a fine small pieces ended with one sold part which will be the base. Place the base at the less congested part which is usually up or proximal to the swollen area. Gently let the small pieces to lay down on the skin with no tightness at all over them. Rubbing the tape to make sure it is placed nicely. Multiple this over the swollen area to make sure that it gets sucking from different sources away towards the less congested part of the body.

The concept of the circulatory and the lymphatic system adjustment is to manipulate the circulatory or lymphatic dysfunction. The main purpose of taping is to reduce the swelling dysfunction of the circulatory system and the edema of the lymphatic system dysfunction. The directional pulling action of the tape allows the exudate to travel to less congested areas through superficial lymphatic pathways. Here are some examples of the circulatory and the lymphatic system adjustment for a several body areas.

another example of the lymphatic adjustment is upper limb lymphatic edema post mastectomy. As it appears on the diagram the fine small pieces of tape placed gently on the most congested area and the base of the tape placed at the less congested region, which is away from the affected part of the body.  The arrows here show the direction of the tape application, but the direction of the treatment is the opposite direction towards the lymph nodes.

The concept of the Muscular system adjustment is to support the injured muscles. The main purpose of taping for muscles is to reduce the muscles pain, ache, spasm, tenderness dysfunction. Here are some examples of the muscular system adjustment for a several body areas.

The basic concept for muscles taping application is to support the injured muscle fibers by the natural recoil characteristic of the tape material. The application starts with the base of the tape and then to pull the rest of the tape either towards up (Proximal) or down (distal). Based on which direction the tape goes the recoil will be just on the opposite direction. As a matter of fact, that what identify the results of how the tape is going to work on the muscle fibers. We have two different reactions to that:

1.  To Inhibit overused muscle in the acute conditions or Muscle spasm by applying the tape on the skin from the distal to the proximal part of the muscles fibers. (recipient can feel heaver, numbness muscle).

2.  To facilitate weak muscle in the chronic condition or during the rehabilitation period by applying the tape on the skin from the proximal to the distal of the muscles fibers. (recipient can feel lighter, active muscle)

Note: With less than 50% tightness over the tape material for all muscles taping adjustment techniques.

֍ This is an alternative taping method over a scare after lower spine open surgery to reduce the post-operative inflation and tenderness. With less than 50% tightness over the tape material.

The concept of the skin adjustment is to smoothness of the skin wrinkles, to enhance the collides formation speed, and to reduce the scare tissue development after skin burn. The main purpose of taping the skin tissue is to revitalize and flatten the skin tissue layers and to facilitate the skin healing process after skin cut, burn, and injury. Here are some examples of the Skin adjustment for a several body areas.

The concept of the Nerve adjustment is to manipulates the Nerve fibers in either in-out or side by side directions. To reduce nerve pain and numbness or compression. Treating nerves compression and the cause of pain is the biggest challenge in healthcare. Taping have the abilities to decompress the nerve pressure or compression. Especially, if the compression is at the superficial layers of the soft tissue structures. The flexibility of the tape itself allow the application technique to decompress the soft tissue structures around the nerve, which makes the nerve mobilization and current flow moving easier and heal faster. The main purpose of taping the nerve tissue is to adjust the compression on the neural structure which causing the pain or tender. Here are some examples of the Nerves adjustment for a several body areas.
