Get Ready To Rock Your fingers & Take Your Skills To The Next Level!!!!!
You have learnt chords, cracked some good strumming techniques, you can play cool licks and riffs, and you have learnt a handful of your favorite songs... Well now it is time to challenge yourself to the next level!
The objective of this course is to give you a taste of what is to come later down the line in your guitar journey, but at the same time you will guarantee see a vast improvement in your overall skills with this one course.
Inside my Next Level course you will learn all the important pentatonic scales to help you rip a lick and improvise to a jam track. You will also learn how to apply the pentatonic scale to chords or free style, and how to be ‘free’ with the scales so you sound good and feel confident.
You will also learn a bunch of awesome licks and riffs taken from the pentatonic scale’s you will be learning, and don’t worry, these are VERY easy licks to play that will instantly make you sound awesome.
And if that wasn’t enough, you will also learn how to play the 12 bar blues, AND.... I have added a jam lesson where you and me, (your teacher) will jam along together playing awesome blues music.
You will also learn from my interactive tab music, where the tab moves along at the same time you play so you know exactly where we are while we jam!
In order to learn how to solo and improvise in blues and rock you must know the most commonly used 8 pentatonic scale shapes. A lot of beginner guitarists get stuck in the first pentatonic scale shape, but to be truly free and improvise across the entire fretboard you need to know all the shapes, and I teach you how to play them. Knowing all the shapes is easy, and believe it or not, you will also learn a little bit on music theory, and learning these scales will also help with barre chords later on (that’s if you can’t play barre chords).
And it’s not just about that. Every shape gives it’s own sound and feeling to a guitar lick. This is where the magic happens.
This is where the coolness and the beauty comes through all these different shapes.
They have all got their own personality.
And now you can confidently learn them all and experiment more on your guitar. YES... Even at a beginners level.
And even if you are full of confidence or in a band already, or you have always been the rhythm guitar player and fancied a change and challenge, then this course suits all guitarists at any level.
Quick introduction on the course, and crucial tips on how to be prepared before going into the course. This course is designed to give you a small sample of what is yet to come in your guitar journey, so have fun with it and learn as much as you can. For best results, it is advised to run through the course, do as much as you can, and then come back another time. Ultimately, this course is perfect to dip in and out when you want to challenge yourself, and practice makes perfect!
The course will kick start in the land of 'Pentatonic Scales', and more importantly, you learn the easiest pentatonic scale to learn. Don't worry, inside this lesson I teach you all about the pentatonic scales and how ti approach the pent scale. So you not only learn how to play these important scales, but you will walk away with an understanding of the scales too.
In Lesson 2 you will learn a really nice riff that has been taken from the open E pentatonic which you will have learnt from the previous lesson. This riff is great to play and it plays the main part throughout the song. This riff is the perfect kick start to your journey in the next level of guitar playing, and after this lesson you will start to sound awesome and feel confident!
Sticking to our popular Open E pentatonic scale, you will learn a really lovely lick that is not only easy to play for any beginner at this stage, but you will sound great after playing this simple technique. The trick with this lick is to start slow, and then see how fast you can get playing it. This is really great fun and you'll have a good understanding of the open E pentatonic scale after this lecture.
This lick is nice to play on its own, or added in between a song with the same rhythm in the key of an E.
To really show you how to make a simple open pentatonic scale sound incredibly awesome, you will learn one of the greatest Rock influence riffs ever made, and believe it or not, the whole rock riff is taken from the Open E pentatonic scale. You will not believe how simple this rock riff is, and how increbile it sounds.
In Lesson 5, you will learn how to play the 12 bar blues. Inside this lesson I teach you to play each of the 12 bars in this famous blues riff, and more importantly, once you have mastered this lesson you will see an overall improvment in your rythm and timing.
To really nail the 12 bar blues, the best result is to jam along with someone. And that is exactly what you get inside this lesson. Lesson #6 is an awesome 'jam along' lesson, where you will be jamming along with me playing the 12 bar blues together that you learnt from the previous lesson.
You will also learn from my interactive tablature, where the tab moves along while you play so you know exactly where we are in the lesson.
To extend on your pentatonic scale knowledge, you will learn how to play the Am pentatonic scale in this lesson. You will also learn how to apply some cool tips and tricks, as well as a very awesome set of jazz chords!
To finish this Next Level course off, you will learn inside Lesson 9 the remaining 6 pentatonic scales every Next Level guitar player would need to know. After this lesson, the guitar neck is your oyster. I advise to experiment, don't be afraid to play further down the neck, and start finding your own style and guitar techniques. Good Luck!
We wrap up everything that you learnt inside this course, and importantly you will learn how to carry on with improving your guitar skills and I give you tips on what you should focus on next.
