I have been programming for over 20 years on various platforms.
I've been making video games with Construct 2 for over 2 years.
I currently have 8 games on various app markets, including iOS and Android.
I have a desire and skill to teach beginners at their own level so they don't feel overwhelmed when learning. My main focus is to build up the customers confidence to use the software I am teaching them. With that confidence, they can do great things.

This course is designed for beginners to not only Construct 2, but also to game development. My goal is to reach those that have never created a video game, and walk them through the process of creating their first game using Construct 2 Free Edition.
All assets and source code is provided.
This course is roughly 1.25 hours in length.

Excellent job Mr. Farias. This course is short but shows plenty for use in making a complete game. Exactly what I expected, exactly what I needed. Great course.
This is a fantastic Tutorial that takes you through the introduction to making a game at a gentle pace. I think this course almost sells itself short as it gives far more than just the basics you would expect from other tutorials. i learnt a lot doing this tutorial and that was after having done many others for Construct 2. Definitely worth the money!
This short course is suitable for the beginner. The author has a very straightforward and clear style of delivery; spending just enough time introducing the basic premise of Construct2 before launching into the practical task of making a simple game. The instruction takes the form of demonstration coupled with some all important explanation about why things are done and how things work together. The only small criticism, I'd make is that the sound of the tutor's typing might be felt to be a tad distracting by some. I'd The course involves using enough of the wide range of features of Construct2 for the student to begin writing his or her own simple game after completing the course. It also stands the student in good stead to look at more of what Construct2 has to offer in order to gradually tackle more complex games. All in all, a good, short and concise introduction to the deceptively powerful Construct2 2D game creator.
Ed's videos are extremely detailed and the screen-casts are done at just the right pace. My only recommendation would be to have a screenshot or something showing the events page at the end. I don't have a solid background in programming, so when Ed spoke and said, you are going to use these numbers from this to this I kept putting x-x (instead of x,x) and if you are not in the HD video it could throw you off because you cannot discern punctuation from one to the other. Another reason would be that when Ed either moved or copy and pasted an event at one point, I forgot to get rid of it on my end which took me a little time to figure out what I needed to delete.
