Zahid Farooq is an expert consultant, trainer, and writer. He has over 20 years of experience at a senior advisory level in the UK, over 10 years of tutoring and training experience, and recently wrote a book on GCC VAT COMPLIANCE with a specific focus on UAE VAT Law. His areas of expertise include taxation, mainly dealing with VAT implementation, tax compliance, and GAAP/IFRS implementation and compliance. I recently joined UAE as a tax expert to serve the region and help businesses implement and comply with VAT effectively.

Currently, he is the CEO of Advent Management Consultancies (AMC) and advises various organizations in the GCC region on tax compliance. Zahid also served as a corporate advisor in the UK region, including the financial, automobile, and retail sectors (Iceland Foods plc, Sainsbury's, Londis), to help corporate managers comply with local tax laws and international accounting standards.

Zahid has related qualifications – VAT Compliance diploma (ATT-UK), BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting (UK), and MSC in Finance (UK). He is an active member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK, the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) UK and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) in Australia.
