Hello! I am an educator with over 25 years of experience teaching children and adults. I work with schools around the country within my role as a literacy trainer with a large university and also as an educational consultant. It is my honor to lead educators in professional learning experiences and to train literacy coaches so that ultimately, they may more positively impact the children they serve.

I’m also an author and have written, illustrated, and published 20 books (& counting) for children and grown-ups. Some of my books feature my photography of coastal wildlife, which I absolutely love! Additionally, I co-wrote a book for literacy teachers and have published academic works as well.

I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. I have earned an Ed.S., an M.A.Ed., and a B.A.Ed., and I'm passionate about literacy teaching and learning. As a reader, writer, and educator, I desire to elevate the literate lives of learners in humanizing ways.
