Vining Wolff has 25 years of Open Pit Heavy Oil experience which includes froth treatment, slurry prep, hydro transport, tailings and extraction design. He has over 30 years of industry experience in general process design: SAGD, solvent assist SAGD, conventional heavy oil facility, conventional oil batteries, natural gas deep cut/NGL/LPG, sour gas treating, green fuels, midstream, flares, vents, liquid sulfur handling, potash, specialty/hazardous chemicals for fertilizer and weed killer. Has work primarily in EPCM; typically involved with development of Design criteria, BFDs PFDs, P&IDs, H&M balances, vessel sizing, hydraulics, process simulations (Hysys, Fathom, Flarenet) and process narratives, operating manuals, SOPs, MSDS and datasheets; anywhere from pre-feasibility through to detail design. Has over 20 years in technology development related to open pit oil sand, bitumen/heavy oil, tailings treatment, light hydrocarbon and asphaltenes. Named on several patents and publications.
