Hello!
My name is Ulrike. I love languages. I love learning new languages and I love teaching children languages. This probably stems from having grown up in a multilingual environment. I have two Education degrees from CPUT and NWU (South Africa), respectively. During my years as a teacher I taught a variety of subjects to children aged 6 to 12. This included German, my mother tongue.

Research has shown that the best time to learn a new language is during childhood. I  have found that children learn best while having fun and engaging with the subject matter. This is why My German Adventure is designed to get your child involved through imagination, singing and regular reinforcement. Lessons are short and easy to digest, and aim to give children a basic foundation in German without getting into all the nitty-gritty details of grammar and spelling.
