DJ toMW a.k.a. ShowNing - a skilled and accomplished DJ with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter College of City University of New York.

Born in Tokyo, he embarked on his DJ journey at the young age of 17 during high school.

Driven by his unwavering love and passion for music, he pursued his dreams in New York of the United States, where he discovered the art of "TURNTABLISM', manipulating sounds into mesmerising musical creations using DJ turntables.

He soon established himself as a Live DJ, sharing stages with celebrated artists like e The Black Eyed Peas, COMMON, Omar, Julian Marly (son of legendary reggae pioneer, Bob Marley) , Robert Randolph & The Family Band (Grammy award nominated 4 times), and more.

His exceptional DJ & turntables skills earned him the esteemed title of the 1st Runner up for "2005 DMC New York Final", the first and only foreigner to achieve such recognition until today in 2023.

Upon returning to Japan, he caught the attention of Toshi-Kubota, the pioneer of Japanese Soul and R&B music, who featured DJ toMU in 2 tracks for his album "For Real?' released by SONY Music Entertainment in 2006.

Not limited to DJ & turntablism, toMW joined the Hip Hop Band, 'OHGA Band' as a scratcher, in 2007, their remarkable talents led them to become the first CHAMPIONs on "Redbull SOUNDCLASH Japan 2008" - the pioneering band style music competition in worldwide.

In 2011,DJ toMW took his career to Asia, moving to Singapore, where he swiftly gained recognition in the local scene.

His performances extended beyond nightclubs to major events like "Universal Studio Singapore (USS) - New Year Count Down for 2014-2015 & 2013-2014 in a raw as well as a music director cum DJ for "ONE PIECE (Anime Theme) RUN Singapore 2016"

To this day, DJ toMW remains a distinguished and renowned figure in the DJ circuit.

Currently, he has head his own DJ personal training academy, ShowNing DJ Lab since 2012.

As a professional DJ instructor, he has had the pleasure of training learners, and one of them even achieved an impressive 2nd place in the Pioneer DJ competition held in 2022, with 2 others securing 3rd and 4th places in the one of the most renowned DJ competition, Kamikaze DJ Battle online in whole Japan.

Furthermore, he had the honour of serving as an official DJ coach for a prestigious Singaporean University, Singapore Management University (SMU) .

As the latest information, on August in '24, he himself was also selected one of the top 20 world finalists for DMC Open Format Category Online.
