About me
An experienced consultant with a strong academic and professional background in research and analysis and proven project and people management skills.
Fluent in English and Greek. Intermediate French. Basic Italian.
Capable of collating, analysing, and presenting information in short time frames and to different stakeholders. Experienced in building strong relationships with high profile organisations and blue-chip clients. Highly experienced in using software for analysis.
Throughout my career in the media analysis industry, I have worked in several sectors and collaborated with some of the most known brands in Pharma, Defence & Aerospace, Aviation, FMCG, Finance and Professional services.
I am very passionate about data and using actionable insights to answer strategic questions that lead to business decisions. My work has led my clients achieve several awards across the industry, including AMEC gold awards. I constantly try to apply my academic knowledge to my work. One of the most successful workshops I put together focused on cognitive bias, how this affects the analysis process and ways to overcome these obstacles.
My Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focuses on Intelligence Democratisation in Greece, Spain and Portugal from Brunel University London. When doing my research, I analysed intelligence democratisation levels in each case study, using five Security Sector Reform indicators. My study breaks new ground as there is not a conceptual approach across these three case studies as most of the work done within the intelligence discipline mainly focuses on the Anglo sphere. The thesis uses comparative methods to measure levels of intelligence democratisation across the three understudied countries, a method rarely applied in intelligence studies.
I am a cancer survivor and a big advocate for research to beat cancer. I tend to participate in several events and challenges to raise funds for cancer research. Based on my experience with cancer, mental health is key for me. I am a mental health first aider and very vocal about the importance of mental health and moving away from the stigma that surrounds it. To that end, I also try to focus on my physical health - I love doing ballet and practising kung fu.
I am also an ardent fan of education for women, especially in developing countries and women equality. I would love to be involved in more projects around this.
