Samuel Kwashie HORKU started music at an early age and has joined the Ghanaian music ensemble OULAMII SOOJ. He played as a dancer, drummer and percussionist for various instruments such as the Gome and DunDun.
Then, he moved to Hong Kong for his music career for 7 years and counting. He performed for various international events such as the HONG KONG SEVENS, DRAGON BOAT FESTIVALS, NEW YEAR NIGHT PARADE. He performed in Shenzhen, Macau, and Taipei for various events and festivals.
Besides, he teaches at universities, schools and music centers for West African music. He is especially passionate at teaching music with Fun. He develops an interactive approach to Djembe. Making use of a combination of rhythms, songs and body movements, his lessons are enjoyable for children, and adults.
