My name is Roddy Rodríguez, and for the past 15 years, I’ve  applied and taught soft skills. Leadership, communication, productivity, among others—I had to master these through a combination of acquiring state-of-the-art tools from academia and research, and applying these tools through hands-on experience.

I’ve led over 30 teams in various projects, units, and organizations, and I’m proud to say that 9 out of 10 times, we delivered positive results. And from those 1 out of 10 times I did not deliver as expected, I learned even more. The lessons I teach come not just from state-of-the-art research, but from real-world experience.

I’ve designed and delivered courses on soft skills like leadership, communication, persuasion, and productivity to thousands of professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs across multiple countries. Currently, I lead Skill Up, a company focused on helping people develop future-ready skills.

With over 10 years of experience leading teams in both large and small organizations, whether serving as a Director, Project Manager, or Consultant, I’ve been through the same challenges most people face. My approach is practical, relatable, and grounded in what works, but also based on science and research findings. I know the tools people need because I’ve used them myself.

My journey in leadership and teaching started over 15 years ago when I became a university debate champion and founded extracurricular clubs, sparking my passion for soft skills. Since then, I’ve continued to grow through research, international leadership programs, and hands-on experience.

Along the way, I’ve earned a Master’s degree in Public Management, a Bachelor's degree in Political and Administrative Sciences, and certifications in Project Management, prompt engineering for ChatGPT, and AI fundamentals for machine learning, among others. I’m also a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
