About me
Hello, my name is Roberto Vormittag. I am a senior software engineer, team leader, mentor and career coach.
I started my software engineering career at the turn of the Millennium working for a number of well-known organizations in the financial and consulting sectors in the UK and Europe. For full details please check my profile and references on LinkedIn.
During my career I had the opportunity to mentor and interview developers and graduates looking to enter the software engineering profession. In the process I discovered a passion for teaching computer science subjects using a “learn by doing” approach in a way that makes it fun and easy to understand even the most complex topics.
As a result I have successfully coached graduates and developers of all levels of experience, helping them to reach the next level in their careers. Helping people to achieve their goals is what motivates me most, so I decided to dedicate myself full time to this endeavor, by becoming a Udemy instructor so as to be able to reach a wider community of aspiring and professional engineers and share my know-how and industry experience of real-world commercial projects.
My academic qualifications include a BSc in Electronic Engineering and a MSc in Computing.
In 2016 I published my first technical book on Amazon Kindle titled “A Practical Guide to Git and GitHub for Windows Users” where my teaching style was widely praised in the reviews. I get a kick out of making apparently complex subjects within everyone’s reach.
I encourage you to experience my teaching style and I look forward to meeting you in one of my courses.
