After discovering Bujinkan Ninjutsu as a kid in the early 1980's, Rob began training soon after. Over the course of the next 2 decades Rob delved into several other martial Arts but his focus remained on the teachings of Bujinkan Soke Hatsumi. This focus drove Rob to travel around the world to attend the large seminars given by Hatsumi sensei, as well as traveling to Japan several times a year. As Rob's understanding grew, so did his feeling that he needed more in-depth instruction, so he moved to Japan well over a decade ago, where he has studied and taught full-time ever since. Becoming one of the most recognized faces in the Bujinkan Hombu Dojo, where he regularly trains, translates, and sometimes teaches. Rob's personal dojo is located in the Mabashi Prince Shrine, a beautiful Shinto Jinja, with an atmosphere of ancient Japan. Rob teaches throughout the week and sometimes travels abroad to share his unique insights into the inner workings of Budo Taijutsu. Rob is well known for his ability to simplify and break down the mystical, difficult to see teachings of Hatsumi Sensei and his senior instructors. Rob is still a student at heart, which is why you will find him continuing his own research and training with a variety of high level teachers around the world and at home.
