I am a Project Manager with five years of experience in the localization industry, currently providing project support to the IT Governance Team within the Digital Innovation Department at EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office).
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of collaborating with key players in the pharmaceutical industry, including Roche and Boston Scientific, among others. In my role as Team Lead, I guided my team in the ambitious goal of building and maintaining localization services within client companies. My work focused on establishing and managing linguistic teams capable of handling and overseeing translation requests directly within the client’s organization, functioning as a managed service provider.
For a project manager, organization is the foundation of success. Drive and focus are essential to keep processes running smoothly and steer them to completion. Yet, the most critical component is the people who bring those processes to life—the individuals who combine their strengths to achieve shared objectives.
If there is one lesson I’ve learned during my time as a Team Lead, it’s that maintaining an on-time delivery rate above 90%, consistently increasing revenue, and achieving both client and personal satisfaction all require a healthy, collaborative environment. Success stems from individuals who bring together their skills and a genuine desire to collaborate.
My approach is both practical and holistic, with a strong emphasis on respecting and empowering team members. I firmly believe in a people-centric vision of project management, where individuals are at the heart of every success.
I’m here on Udemy to equip students with the tools they need to embark on a rewarding career in localization, while also introducing them to this exciting and often overlooked niche within the project management world.
