Ria received her degree in Studio Art from Northwestern University. For over 20 years, she's been involved in visual communication in some form or another. In addition to being a professional illustrator and graphic designer, Ria teaches both online and in the real world. She was an adjunct instructor in the College of Arts & Sciences at Maryville University and teaches classes and workshops on the creative process. 

Ria is a firm believer in "practice makes better" for her own work and as a teacher. She thinks making art can be a simple daily practice — one that is joyful and fun!
